• Bush pledges global response to crisis
President Bush today said world leaders were working together to address the worst global financial crisis since the Great Depression, CNNMoney reports. Bush's comments came as finance ministers from the world's top economies gathered in Washington.
• Palin abused power in firing, Alaska panel finds
GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin abused her power as Alaska's governor and violated state ethics law by trying to get her former brother-in-law fired from the state police, a state investigator's report concluded. The bipartisan Legislative Council, which commissioned the probe, unanimously adopted the 263-page public report.
• Daily gas prices fall 6 cents
